Having been forced to postpone earlier this year our intrepid team of Minnie Alam, Cerys Terry, and Laura Smith finally did their skydive last week!
The Leap of Hope was organised as part of our ongoing activity for our Charity Partner The Osborne Trust, which provides support to children whose parents or guardians have a cancer diagnosis.
No one in the team had previously skydived and they reached an altitude of over 15,000 ft before taking the leap.
Laura Smith, one of the skydivers stated:
“What a year we have had being part of the Osborne Charity and fundraising for them. From own clothes day to Snowdon Sunrise and bake sales to Sky dives; it’s been eventful. The Skydive was the pinnacle! It was the ultimate once in a lifetime experience and ran by an amazing group of extremely professional people. The experts were really friendly and kept me relaxed and I felt extremely safe. It was an incredible day.”
Andrew Graves, Managing Director commented:
“Congratulations to the team on completing this epic challenge, showing bravery and great commitment to the cause! We’re delighted with response we’ve had from supporters and have raised nearly £9000 for The Osborne Trust since we partnered with them.”
Emma Osborne CEO at The Osborne Trust added:
“Thank you so much to the skydiving team, taking on a challenge like this is certainly going above and beyond. Our charity has now helped over 4000 children and with the support of businesses like Rowlinsons we will be able to help many more in the future.”
