Last night Rowlinsons Charity Committee hosted yet another successful Quiz Night with all proceeds going to our Charity of The Year, SPACE.
With almost 100 in attendance from staff and business relations to friends and family, the night proved to be a great success raising an amazing total of £2409.44 bringing this year’s cumulative total for SPACE up to a fantastic £8,265.65!
The event comprised of 10 unique quiz rounds including obscure US laws, Icelandic names and cartoon dogs which tested the knowledge of all those that took part. Well done to the winning team ‘We thought this was speed-dating' who took top spot on the night!
Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to take part in a silent auction offering a fantastic opportunity to bid on 3 incredible prizes ranging from a stay for up to 24 people at a beautiful house donated from Laura Holden of Placetobehomestays.com, a 3-night stay at a Woodhouse View Holiday Cottage donated by local residents, Rick and Gill Stretton and a meal for two at Frodsham’s very own Michelin Guide, awarding winning restaurant, Next Door.
A Quiz wouldn’t be a success without a raffle which, as ever, proved to be a hit with all who attended.
We would like to thank all of the local businesses and others for their kind generosity in donating the prizes for both the raffle and the silent auction, the night would not have been such a success without them.
We are grateful to Lucy, Operations Manager of SPACE, for saying a few words about how the monies raised, not only on the night, but throughout the year immensely help those who rely upon the incredible services that SPACE provide.
And of course a big thank you to Stuart and Michelle for preparing and presenting the Quiz.
