Rowlinsons Announce New Charity Partner

We are delighted to announce that our new charity partner for 2023/2024 will be The Osborne Trust based in North Wales.

The Osborne Trust is the only national charity dedicated to supporting the children of a parent going through a cancer diagnosis, cancer treatment, death of a parent and beyond. For these children, the charity provides the opportunity to bring some normality back into their lives and respite from what they see when Mum or Dad is undergoing cancer treatment.

The charity was founded by Emma Osborne after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. Emma had children then aged 7 and 4 and found support was lacking for them. Though there were many services available to her, she could find nothing specifically focusing on her children through this time.

Emma finished her treatment in February 2014 and got to work setting up the charity. Since then over 2,300 children have been supported.

Hadyn Roberts HR Manager at Rowlinsons commented:

“Selecting a new charity partner each year is a difficult task as there are so many worthwhile causes that deserve support. When we came across The Osborne Trust and the services they provide on a national level we immediately felt this was a charity making a real difference to children’s lives and one we are keen to work with.

We’re now planning a series of fundraising events, which will no doubt include more physical challenges as well as some fun and games along the way.”

Emma Osborne, CEO at The Osborne Trust added:

“We are thrilled to have been chosen by Rowlinsons as their Charity Partner. Without the support of businesses like Rowlinsons we simply couldn’t provide the level of help we would like to. We have already supported over 300 families this year, which is a 37% increase compared to the same time last year and want to keep growing and helping more children each year.

I can’t wait to see what the charity committee have planned and look forward to working with them and hopefully raising some funds as well as increasing awareness of The Osborne Trust.”
