Rowlinsons Solicitors successfully raise a further £1,072 for Chester based charity SPACE with their out of this world challenge ‘Race to Space’
The ‘Race to Space’ involved the team riding 2 spin bikes inside Morrisons in Frodsham and a further spin bike based in the reception of the firm’s 9 Church Street office. The goal was to ride a total of 248 miles, the distance to the International Space Station. By the end of the day, the team had clocked up a total of 383 miles, a whopping 135 miles past their target!
As a result of the generous donations of passers-by and the donations from many on the Just Giving Page, the team have raised a total of £1,072.50 so far. The firm wish to thank Morrisons, Frodsham and Active Nation, Runcorn for their support and generosity in providing the space and equipment to make the event such a success.

“It was great to be able to take part in such a fun event raising money for an amazing charity whilst also engaging with the local community at the same time. The support we received from passers-by definitely kept us going whilst we rode for an hour each, some even longer, to make up as much distance as possible for the team. Every donation we received was hugely appreciated by us and any amount, no matter how large or small, goes a long way.” Ally Stretton, Trainee Solicitor.
“Not something you get to do every day! What a fun challenge to do alongside colleagues and in the community. It was a wonderful surprise to see some familiar faces and to have the chance to engage with all who passed by. I am proud of those who took part, it’s not an easy thing to do but it shows what pulling together as a team can really do. Every challenge set, people go above and beyond and prove to themselves and everyone else exactly what they can do.
