March 20th 2023 sees the start of the inaugural National Conveyancing Week which Rowlinsons are proud to support and is the creation of Rob Hailstone, founder of the Bold Legal Group which has 700 members specialising in residential property across England and Wales.
The aim of National Conveyancing Week is to raise the profile of the role that conveyancing plays in the wider economy and demystify the process that takes place between a buyer having an offer accepted on a property and getting their hands on the keys!
To demonstrate the importance of the conveyancing industry, for every housing transaction that takes place the economy benefits by around £9,559 on average. Scaling that figure up means that for every 100,000 housing transactions, there is a total impact of almost £1 billion. In addition, more than 11,500 jobs are supported either directly or indirectly by these transactions. *
As part of National Conveyancing Week, the British Conveyancing Awards will also take place in London on 21st March where Rowlinsons have been shortlisted for two awards, Conveyancing Firm of the Year North and Conveyancing Firm of the Year National.
Tom Parkinson, Director and Head of Property commented:
“National Conveyancing Week is an excellent idea and one which the whole industry seems to be getting behind. The increased volume of work against a background of falling active conveyancing firms shows how important it is for home movers to select a law firm that specialises in residential property and has invested in the technology, education and processes needed to ensure a transaction goes smoothly.
During the week we will be running various internal events to celebrate our staff and the achievements of the firm and the industry. We will also be in attendance for the British Conveyancing Awards ceremony where we look forward to meeting with fellow likeminded firms and those businesses who support us in delivering our services.”
National Conveyancing Week takes place between 20th -24th March. For more information see https://conveyancingweek.co.uk/
