We are now looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancer with proven residential property experience of a minimum of 5 years to join the Residential Property team.

Key responsibilities

Provide high quality legal services to the firm’s clients, predominantly in relation to sales and purchases (freehold and leasehold properties) re-mortgages, transfers and new build transactions.

Liaise with clients, agents and introducers as to progress of transactions.

Ensure that services are provided in an efficient manner.

Conduct own caseload with the support of an assistant and provide support to the fellow team members.

Participation in business development opportunities and events.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor (minimum 5 years PQE), fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) or Licensed Conveyancer however we will consider all applications where the candidate can demonstrate at least 5 years relevant experience in Residential Property.

Expertise in key areas of law and procedure in relation to sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties re-mortgages, transfers and new build transactions.

Able to conduct own caseload with minimal supervision.

Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Good IT skills.

Commercial and financial awareness including ability to take responsibility for financial control of own client matters.

Able to develop positive relationships with clients and manage client expectations.

Effective prioritisation with ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

Marketing, networking and business development skills commensurate with the role.
